If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9
Boiled down, we are incapable of sinless life and God is simply waiting on us to come to that realization and then to seek a way out of it. I talked the other day about God hearing our cry and this is the cry on which He's been waiting. The faithfulness comes in when, as promised, we are delivered from our unrighteousness (sin) and become forgiven. We become followers of Christ and servants of The Almighty God. We are given the Holy Spirit and then it becomes our goal to remain faithful to God, Jesus, and the Spirit.
So what does that mean? How do we set about being faithful to them? We put on display for the world, through both words and actions, the gift we were given and the wisdom we have gained as a child of God. You make sure that your parents know you love and respect them, that your kids know you love them unconditionally, that your spouse never for an instant has to question whether or not you will always be at their side. You keep your commitments and your promises. You give of yourself without expecting something in return. You spread your faith like wings across your back and fly as high as you can so that as many people as possible see what God has done and is doing in you. You aren't ashamed to be different, unique in God's sight.
You love God as much as He loves you and do what you were built to do so that one day you can hear these words from your maker:
"Well done, good and faithful servant!"
