Learning From Yoda

This one is dedicated to my friend Alan Danielson...I just thought I was one of the biggest Star Wars fans all those years!

This is the 30th anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back, the movie where Yoda makes his first appearance. The Jedi master taught many lessons over the course of 5 movies...lessons that we can easily correlate to our lives and the teachings of Jesus. So take a look at what Yoda had to say, reflect, and celebrate 30 years of the greatest movie franchise of all time!

Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.

Try not. Do, or do not. There is no try.

Size matters not. Look at me. Judge me by my size, do you? Hmm? Hmm. And well you should not.

But beware. Anger, fear, aggression. The dark side are they. Once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny.

Death is a natural part of life. Rejoice for those around you who transform into the Force. Mourn them do not. Miss them do not. Attachment leads to jealously. The shadow of greed, that is.

Named must your fear be before banish it you can.

Truly wonderful the mind of a child is.

Luke: "I don't, I don't believe it."
Yoda: "That is why you fail."

Have a great Sunday everyone. Spend time with The Lord today and share Him with others!
