I really love a great, Godly message delivered by an engaged speaker (that's you Pastor Philip!) but my favorite part about a church service is worship. It's funny, because as I grew up worship came to be the part of service that I least enjoyed. We were singing out of the old hymnals and it just seemed lifeless and boring to me most of the time. Then I discovered that some churches have contemporary music and live bands and I was captured by it. I had never felt so connected to God in my life! Then I started hearing traditional hymns sung in new ways and it really brought the passion of my youth back to me.
Worship is a time to really let your soul open up to God...to prepare you to listen to what He has to say to you. I've grown to really treasure it. So, this week I give you ten of my most favorite worship songs. If there are some you haven't heard I urge you to check 'em out and I would absolutely love to hear from you on some of your favorites too! There is no way I could ever really limit myself to ten of these. In fact, it may not even be fair to try...but here we go at any rate...
